Pesce Palla presents Shelter, our first release as a duo.

The song was born on a visit to Alabama in 2020 during the deep days of the pandemic. Hill was at their godparents' farmhouse messing around with an old Les Paul when the chord progression emerged. Disappointed by a relationship, Bryn was inspired to write the lyrics when a delicious late summer rainfall reminded her that she was already completely held. As the pandemic wore on, Bryn recorded her vocals and Hill built the mix out with vinyl samples from old R&B records and a field recording of Brazilian birds at twilight. Finally we called on an old friend, Callie Millington, for the bassline that ties it all together.

The track was mixed and mastered by two more good friends, Dave Fugel and Alzena at Southern Belle Studios in Brooklyn.
